A Gift From Heaven

Ngọc carries a past she would rather not explain, and Tô, the son she raises alone. When Long, her former partner, presses her into one last job, she chooses to disappear instead. Mother and son end up in a fishing village on the central coast.

There she meets Hồng, a young fisherman who once donated sperm. She has never seen his face, yet he is Tô’s biological father. The initial shock gives way to conversations, shared meals, and the small moments when the three of them sit together.

A Gift From Heaven is about a family nobody planned, and about whether a person is allowed to start over, after everything they have done.
